Caravaggio | Revolution is the first exhibition in North Carolina in a century to shine a light on how Caravaggio's radical realism transformed not only painting, but the very language of modern film, photography, and popular culture. Caravaggio’s masterful Boy Bitten by a Lizard stands at the heart of this exhibition, alongside more than 30 paintings by leading Baroque masters and Caravaggisti from across Europe who absorbed and reinterpreted his revolutionary style.
